Located in Washington, LA between the two bayous of this historic Steamboat town, is where you will find traditional Cajun/ Creole food, exceptional Salads and other healthy options. Along with live entertainment and a dance floor, the Old Courtableau Cafe will not disappoint. Our beautiful building dates back to the early 1800's and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The old store front windows give a view to the heart of Main Street long after the Steamboat era has passed.
Entrepreneur, David Allemond, former owner of McGee's Landing in Henderson, LA, saw an opportunity to invest back into his community by restoring an old Main Street Property. Familiar with Washington's rich history, he and his wife Peggy hope to bring life back to the historic store front by opening a cafe and dance hall which features local artists. Creating jobs for local residents and an entertaining environment for tourist and locals alike..
After being closed for a few years, we are opening up slowly, please come by and say hi.
